ANOUAR BRAHEM | AFTER THE LAST SKY

Anouar Brahem, az oud egyik legkiemelkedőbb kortárs mestere új, After the Last Sky
című programjával érkezik. A Mahmoud Darwish költő soráról elnevezett projekt
intim, meditatív kamarazenében kapcsolja össze az arab zenei hagyományokat a
jazz és az európai kamarazene világával.
Brahem oudját Django Bates kifinomult zongorajátéka, Anja Lechner mélyen lírai
csellója és Mats Eilertsen karakteres, mégis könnyed nagybőgőjátéka egészíti ki. A
négy muzsikus érzékeny összjátéka letisztult dallamokon és finom zenei
párbeszédeken keresztül teremt egyszerre személyes és univerzális zenei élményt.
A koncert műsora elsősorban a 2025-ben, az ECM Records gondozásában
megjelent After the Last Sky album anyagára épül.

Anouar Brahem, one of today’s most distinctive masters of the oud, presents his
latest project, After the Last Sky. Taking its title from a line by poet Mahmoud
Darwish, the programme brings together the traditions of Arab music with jazz and
European chamber music in a collection of intimate and deeply contemplative pieces.
Brahem is joined by Django Bates on piano, Anja Lechner on cello and Mats
Eilertsen on double bass. Their attentive interplay gives the music a remarkable
emotional depth, with the oud and cello in particular forming a subtle and expressive
dialogue.
The concert programme draws primarily from After the Last Sky, released by ECM
Records in 2025, inviting audiences on an immersive musical journey of exceptional
delicacy and lyrical power.
